LOS ANGELES — All’s Fair returned to Hulu today, Wednesday, November 4, for its second season, with Ryan Murphy’s glossy legal drama restocking its all-female divorce firm and widening its guest list in every direction at once. The series follows the attorneys of Grant, Ronson and Greene — a firm of women who left a male-dominated practice to represent wives in high-net-worth divorces — led by Kim Kardashian as Allura Grant, alongside Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson and Teyana Taylor, with Matthew Noszka as Allura’s ex-husband Chase Munroe.
New Faces
The season’s one full-time addition is Brazilian star Cauã Reymond, joining as a series regular in the role of Raul Ortiz — a bodyguard hired to protect Allura after an attempt on her life raises the stakes beyond the courtroom. The recurring and guest roster leans into the show’s reality-television gravity: America’s Next Top Model winner Nyle DiMarco recurs, Real Housewives of New York alumnus Dorinda Medley guests, and Denise Richards appears opposite Melrose Place star Grant Show as Mr. and Mrs. Keller, a divorcing couple the firm must pry apart. Margo Martindale plays Gloria Bloom, a famous chef divorcing her husband of 42 years; Robin Givens plays a lawyer; Jaime Pressly appears as a beauty mogul; and Noah Fearnley plays Brody, an eligible young bachelor who catches Liberty’s eye.
The Murphy Formula, Season Two
The casting is the show’s strategy in miniature: prestige anchors (Close, Watts, Martindale) holding the frame while reality-era names (Kardashian herself, Medley, Richards) pull their own audiences into the same episodes. Season one made the series a durable performer for Hulu on exactly that blend, and the second season — by putting a bodyguard between its lead and an unnamed threat — adds a thriller strand to the divorce-of-the-week engine. The season is streaming now; Hulu has not announced a third.
Who’s Who At The Firm
The firm’s name maps its partners: Kardashian’s Allura Grant, Naomi Watts as Liberty Ronson and Niecy Nash-Betts as Emerald Greene, with Glenn Close as Dina Standish — the establishment figure of the firm’s world — Teyana Taylor as Milan, and Sarah Paulson as Carrington Lane, the rival attorney who has made opposing the firm a personal project. Matthew Noszka’s Chase Munroe, Allura’s ex-husband, remains the one case the founder cannot close. The bodyguard storyline follows directly from the threat against Allura: season two opens with her firm’s private wars turned literal, and a professional hired to stand in the way.
The bet Hulu is making is that the blend travels: prestige-television furniture — Murphy’s house style of saturated colour, couture costuming and stacked ensembles — mixed with guest casting drawn from the reality franchises its lead helped define. Whether the formula deepens or simply widens is the critical question of the run; the commercial one was answered when the second season was ordered. New episodes are streaming now.
Season one was a famous split-screen: television critics savaged it — it opened at zero percent on Rotten Tomatoes — while Hulu reported it as the streamer’s biggest scripted-series premiere in three years. Season two therefore arrives with nothing to prove commercially and everything to prove critically, which is precisely the terrain its producer has built a career on. The firm’s doors, in any case, are open again.
