Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly were photographed together twice on the same day in Los Angeles on Friday — leaving a music studio in the morning and leaving the Chateau Marmont together at about 11:30 p.m. — in what both TMZ and Page Six described as apparently the same outfits. The photographs, taken by the BACKGRID agency and published by both outlets on Saturday, October 24, are the latest in a series of sightings of the actress and the musician together since September. Neither Johnson nor Machine Gun Kelly has publicly confirmed a relationship, People reported.
TMZ published the photographs on Saturday, October 24, showing Johnson and the musician, whose real name is Colson Baker, leaving a Los Angeles music studio on Friday morning, October 23, and then leaving the Chateau Marmont together the same night at about 11:30 p.m. Page Six published the same agency photographs on Saturday and reported that the two appeared to be wearing the same outfits at night that they had worn in the morning.
A source told Page Six there was “definitely chemistry” between the pair. “It’s new and they’re just getting to know each other,” the source said. A source told People that Johnson and Baker share a “dry and dark” sense of humor but that they “aren’t ready to go official yet.” People reported that neither Johnson nor Baker has publicly confirmed that they are in a relationship.
Page Six reported that the two first met at Taylor Swift’s wedding in July. They were first spotted together in September, when they were photographed heading to Swift’s Tribeca apartment in New York, according to Page Six. Earlier this month, Baker’s car was photographed outside Johnson’s house the morning after a studio session, Page Six reported.
Johnson’s previous relationship was with Coldplay singer Chris Martin. The date of their split is reported differently by different outlets: People and Hello Magazine date the split to June 2025, while Page Six dates it to July 2025. Johnson was later linked to the singer Role Model; a source confirmed to People in August that that relationship had ended.
Baker was previously in a relationship with the actress Megan Fox. The two co-parent a daughter, Saga Blade, who was born in March 2025, and People has confirmed that Fox and Baker now communicate as co-parents. The reaction attributed to Fox differs between outlets. Sources told TMZ on October 22 that Fox is “unbothered” by Baker’s new relationship and that the former couple communicate only about their daughter. A source told Page Six on October 23 that Fox is “actually relieved he’s moving on” and is “totally done with that chapter.” Both accounts are attributed to unnamed sources speaking to those outlets; Fox has not commented publicly in either report.
Friday’s two sightings — the studio in the morning, the Chateau Marmont at night — were published by TMZ, Page Six and People, all three of which have carried the story. They follow the September sighting at Swift’s Tribeca apartment and the photograph earlier this month of Baker’s car outside Johnson’s house after a studio session. Both of the Friday photographs were taken by BACKGRID. The pair have not addressed the reports themselves, and neither has confirmed a relationship.
