Slayyyter has cancelled the rest of her UK and European tour, telling fans on Friday, October 23, that she has laryngitis and vocal cord tears and has been ordered to take medication and go on full vocal rest for at least two weeks.

“I am heartbroken to share after multiple doctor visits I have laryngitis and vocal cord tears and have been ordered to go on medication and full vocal rest for at least two weeks,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. “Because of this, I am forced to cancel the remaining UK/EU dates to avoid permanent damage to my voice. Full refunds will be available at point of sale.”

The full cancellation came two days after a smaller one. On Wednesday, October 21, she cancelled the Copenhagen and Hamburg shows, posting that she had “fully lost my voice” and that doctors were recommending she cancel the two dates “to protect further damage.” At that point the tour was still expected to resume in Warsaw on October 24. Friday’s announcement ended the leg instead, ten days before it was due to finish in London.

The cancelled dates were the remainder of the WOR$T GIRL IN THE WORLD TOUR, and all of them had sold out: Warsaw, Prague, Berlin and Antwerp, then Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Brighton, closing at London’s Roundhouse on November 5. The Glasgow show, on November 1, had been moved to a larger venue, the O2 Academy, after demand outgrew the original room.

The European leg followed a North American run that ended in Brooklyn on October 4. She opened the leg in Paris on October 18 and played Amsterdam and Cologne before the voice problems stopped the tour. The dates support her third studio album, WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, released in March on Columbia and RECORDS. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and at No. 22 on the Billboard 200, the strongest chart showing of her career.

The voice trouble had been building in public. Stereogum reported that she had been struggling with her voice through the recent shows, and that fans had posted video of the singer in tears on stage as her voice gave out during performances in the days before the cancellations.

She told fans the cancelled shows are being moved, not abandoned. “I know how much time and effort is spent to come out to a show. Some of you have travelled, some of you have made costumes, and I am completely devastated to not be able to give you the shows you were planning for,” she wrote. “We are working hard to figure out a time to return so I can deliver an even bigger and better show for you all. I hope you know I will make this up to you.” Her team is working on rebooking the dates for next year.

The shutdown reaches beyond the headliner. The tour’s support act, the French artist Kalika, posted on X that the cancellation had left her stranded in Europe, NME reported.

The rest of her calendar stands as announced. A companion album, Wor$t Man in America, is due December 4, with the single “I Think He’s Got a Girl” released earlier this month. Her 2027 dates include Laneway Festival stops in Australia and New Zealand in February and a headline show at Madison Square Garden in New York on June 21, 2027. Stereogum reported that tickets for the Garden show, her first there, sold out in 15 minutes.

Slayyyter, 30, was born Catherine Grace Garner in Kirkwood, Missouri. She began releasing music independently through SoundCloud in 2018; her first two albums were Troubled Paradise (2021) and Starfucker (2023).
