The Department of War on Friday posted Release 07 of its UAP archive at war.gov. At page 46 of one file — a historical report package from Bigelow Aerospace’s research arm — sits a copy of the affidavit Lt. Walter Haut signed on December 26, 2002: a 7:30 a.m. staff meeting on July 8, 1947, a debris field 75 miles northwest of Roswell, and a second site holding an egg-shaped craft, 12 to 15 feet long, and a couple of bodies under a canvas tarpaulin, their heads larger than normal.

“I am convinced that what I personally observed was some type of craft and its crew from outer space,” the affidavit closes. Haut had it sealed until after his death; it was first published in 2007. The release makes no finding, and the Pentagon’s AARO office maintains there is no verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial technology or bodies.
